Good News: Jesus is the Messiah Part 1

Freedom in Christ frees us from religious practices unrelated to salvation

Galatians 5:1 Christ having made us gloriously free—stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery.

The Jews at the time of Jesus expected a political Messiah to rescue them from Roman rule and to liberate them from Roman and Greek culture that was imposed on them by their Roman rules.

This is the teaching and environment in which we encounter Jesus.
