Freedom in Christ frees us from religious practices unrelated to salvation

Galatians 5:1 Christ having made us gloriously free—stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery.

Some people believe that God’s promises are sure. God must be held to fulfill His promises. They may claim: “God said it, I believe it, that settles it.”

Others believe that God can decide to not bring about something He promised.

These two views can result in two completely different ways of looking at the prophesies of the Old Testament.
