Freedom in Christ frees us from religious practices unrelated to salvation

Galatians 5:1 Christ having made us gloriously free—stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery.

On this time scale, the far right represents the year “zero”– the dividing line between BC and AD.

Each blue line represent 100 years.

The yellow line represents the duration of the deportation.

As Babylon besieged Judah and Jerusalem, it destroyed the first temple, the one King Solomon build.

From the start of the yellow line to the name Cyrus people of the nation Israel and eventually Judah were in captivity in a foreign land.

The temple in Jerusalem was later rebuilt—this became know as the second temple.
