Our Freedom in Christ - Part 1

Freedom in Christ frees us from religious practices unrelated to salvation

Galatians 5:1 Christ having made us gloriously free—stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery.

Jesus teaches his disciples about how to live.

Note that he is not concerned about the 613 commandments. He does not indicate that:

Blessed are those who keep holy the Sabbath day.
Or
Blessed are those who keep annual holy days.
Nor
Blessed are those who eat only clean meats.

He indicates:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, they who mourn, the meek, they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers.

This is a light yoke. It’s all about our relationship to God and our relationship to our neighbors.
