Later, Paul indicates the temporary nature of the commandments given at Mount Siani. He indicates that the commandments were, in effect, a schoolmaster to bring the Hebrew or Jewish people to the Biblical Messiah (or, in Greek, the Christ). He indicates that after faith—the requirement of the New Covenant—we (he’s writing to Jews) are no longer under a schoolmaster. That is, the Jews are no longer under the law of commandments.
